"What brought you into industrial refrigeration and why?"
A local company offered me a job as a helper, tracing ammonia lines and performing NDT. I enjoyed traveling to different areas. It was very interesting seeing different setups and systems. I enjoyed building programs, but it was frustrating to build a program, hand it to the end user, and then in a few years find the program in disarray again. This is why I switched to the food industry to maintain a program full time. The Corporate Manager position allows me to do both. Travel around and see different systems, while maintaining programs.
"What do you like most about your job?"
Seeing different people and hearing different interpretations to codes and standards.
"What is your proudest professional accomplishment?"
Acquiring my CIRO from RETA.
"How do you stay motivated during challenges at work?"
Working remotely, I typically stick very closely to my goals. I typically just buckle down and push through. If it’s an ongoing challenge, I will typically take time away with the family.
"What words of advice would you give someone new to the industry?"
Get out of the office. Get a set of P&IDs and walk. Ask questions.
"What goals do you desire to achieve next?"
I would like to complete my PSMP from UW Madison.
